Collection & Transport

We begin by arranging the secure collection of your media products. Each batch is tracked and carefully transported to our facility to ensure full accountability. Whether dealing with large quantities or sensitive materials, we maintain strict oversight from pickup to processing.

Sorting & Separation

Upon arrival, media products are separated into their key components:

  • Discs (DVDs, CDs, Blu-rays): The polycarbonate discs are separated from the cases.
  • Cases: Plastic cases, such as polypropylene (PP) and general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS), are separated for recycling.
  • Printed Materials: Inserts, paper sleeves, and cardboard packaging are also sorted for recycling.

Secure Destruction (for Sensitive Content)

For sensitive media, such as proprietary data or copyrighted material, we offer secure destruction. Discs containing data or valuable content are fully destroyed, ensuring they cannot be recovered or resold. We provide certificates of destruction to ensure transparency and brand protection.

Disc Recycling (Polycarbonate)

The polycarbonate discs are granulated into small pellets, which are then repurposed for use in various industries:

  • Automotive: Recycled polycarbonate is used in the manufacturing of components for electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Eyewear: Polycarbonate is also repurposed to create eyeglass lenses and other optical products.

Case Recycling (Polypropylene or GPPS)

The plastic cases are granulated and sorted by colour for recycling. These materials are repurposed into new plastic products such as:

  • Household Items: Recycled polypropylene and GPPS are used in manufacturing products like plastic containers, bins, and more.
  • New Packaging: The material can also be repurposed into new packaging solutions.

Paper & Cardboard Recycling

Any printed materials, such as inserts or sleeves, are baled and sent for recycling. These materials are pulped and repurposed into new paper products, such as packaging or recycled paper stock, supporting a circular economy.

Sustainable Impact

Recycling media with GreenSphere not only protects your brand from unauthorized resale but also helps reduce plastic and paper waste. By repurposing polycarbonate, plastics, and paper, we contribute to a circular economy, reducing the demand for new raw materials and lowering the environmental impact.
